You must have though I'm dead because I didn't contact you for such a long time. Do you still remember our time at District 12? You was a great young escort and I was the stylist. But they didn't like my costumes and so I had to go. I have finished a course now, and I'm much better than three years ago.

Floret! I just can't believe you got in touch with me! How are you, my dear? I didn't hear anything of you for years!
First of all, I saw your address on the envelope and I'm really upset about it! How can you live in such an area of the Capitol? I mean, it's still fine enough, but... Whew! I could never ever stand it!
Of course I remember our time at D12, we had a lot of fun together, hadn't we? Just think back to the day when we painted Haymitch's face with my silver lipstick while he was asleep. Oh, dearie, we were kids back then! (By the way, he never found out!)
I'm glad you joined this workshop, if you really want to be District 12's stylist again, you'll have to make a great effort to better Cinna's and Portia's dresses! But, honestly, I'm really worried about our positions. I think they are not going to reintroduce the Hunger Games, and I finally gave up hope to stay District 12's escort. Maybe you know that I started being a model, so that helps me gaining my money, but I miss my job. It's awfully boring now.
But, yes, maybe one day we'll be able to work together! Maybe if you'll look for a job at CapitolCouture's, they are always searching for young and talented dressmakers.

You really want to know everything that happened during the last three years? Oh Floret, you can't be serious! I'll just start right with the greatest new of all: Guess who's in my house right now? Yes, Mister Silver Lipstick, drunk again! By now his lips are blue because he tried to kiss me. I'm really confused about it, and... once again, whew! Don't listen to me! I'm talking like a 13-years-old right now. I guess I have to look for my Avoxes, dinner should be ready right now.

Effie's cocktails part II

This is a cocktail I created last night, when I just couldn't fall asleep:

Effie's cocktails: The Haymitch Abernathy

~ 1/2 lime (4 cubes)
~ 2 pieces of brown sugar, crushed
~ 3 oz passion fruit juice
~ 2 shots London Dry Gin
~ ice
~ drinking straw!

Just as dear Haymitch... very bitter, very sour, but with tiny sweet pieces of friendliness at the bottom of it's soul.
